When and if this becomes available again don't let it slip by. I got it as a gift for the wife for less than a new 4 quart mixer. So it said reconditioned. Big Deal. This mixer is still going after 2+ years of not so gentle use. We make breads, ice cream, do all our fall meat grinding with this mixer. A couple of attachments that we can'tlive with out for this are the meat grinder with the old wooden mallet and the ice cream mixer bowl. We have both styles of meat grinder and we like the older one with the cast blades, not the stamped out ones, and the fact that it had a wooden mallet/plunger that got 99+% of the meat into the auger as opposed to the new one that only gets about 90+%. I know seems like such a small amount but it makes a huge difference during the fall.

We have run this mixer so long one day it was all you could do to touch it because it got that hot. Let it sit for about an hour and off it went just like before.
